Morrow Energy installed the New Corpus Christi Renewables Gas-To-Energy Plant

April 12, 2024. Morrow Energy, a leader in renewable energy solutions, announces the ribbon-cutting of the new Corpus Christi Renewables, LLC landfill-gas-to-energy plant on April 10th, 2024, at 12:00 pm. This state-of-the-art plant, located at the Cefé Valenzuela landfill converts landfill gas to clean renewable natural gas (RNG).

The plant has doubled methane capture from the landfill and is already operating at runtimes exceeding 97%. Corpus Christi Renewables is one of the fastest landfill-gas-to-energy plants ever to come online, taking less than 6 months from contract execution to start-up. This is a testament to Morrow Energy’s dedication to providing fast and reliable renewable energy solutions. Morrow Energy provided the design, manufacturing, installation, and plant operations in-house.

“We are thrilled to announce the completion of our state-of-the-art RNG facility in the city of Corpus Christi,” said Paul Morrow, President of Morrow Energy. “It is a great example of collaboration that really isn’t possible anywhere else when a competent company and city government in a business-friendly state all coordinate and cooperate to achieve a completed RNG project 6 months from contract signing. This project is truly the gold standard, and I can say that with the experience of a 25-year career building these projects. It’s one of the rare opportunities for the City, the community, the environment and our company to all win simultaneously. Corpus Christi is a great city to work with and work in; a place where conventional and renewable energy complement each other. I don’t think many communities in the nation present this opportunity as well as the city of Corpus Christi.”
