July 4, 2026. The Canadian Gas Association (CGA) announced the appointment of Michele Harradence, President of Enbridge Gas, as Chair of its Board of Directors. She assumes the role at a pivotal time for Canada’s energy industry, as demand grows, infrastructure evolves and governments focus on strengthening energy security and economic resilience.
“Canada’s energy future requires an all-of-the-above approach,” said Harradence. “Natural gas plays a critical role today—supporting reliability when demand is highest, helping keep energy affordable for customers, and enabling economic growth across Canada. As Chair, I look forward to working with industry partners and governments to ensure we are making the most of natural gas in Canada—strengthening our economy while continuing to deliver the resilient, responsible energy Canadians depend on every day.”

Harradence will work closely with CGA President and Chief Executive Officer Susanna Zagar, who joined the association earlier this year.

Harradence succeeds Roger Dall’Antonia, President and Chief Executive Officer of FortisBC, who served as Chair during a period of significant growth and evolution for the association, helping guide industry collaboration and long-term strategic planning.
