July 22, 2026. GTI Energy announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Paula Gant will retire from GTI Energy in August after seven and a half years of dedicated leadership and service to the organization. The GTI Energy Board of Directors has selected Quinton Ford, Senior Vice President, Business & Operations, and General Counsel & Secretary, to serve as interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
“Paula’s leadership has advanced GTI Energy and positioned the organization for its next chapter of growth,” said Nick Stavropoulos, Chair of the GTI Energy Board of Directors. “Under Paula, GTI Energy built a stronger, more collaborative innovation system and a deeper, more capable leadership team, which is the foundation this organization will build on in the years ahead. The Board thanks Paula for her dedication, strategic vision, and commitment to the mission. We are confident in Quinton’s leadership of GTI Energy as it continues to provide the technical expertise and develop innovative solutions on which its customers and partners rely.”
During her tenure, Dr. Gant helped position GTI Energy for its next chapter by sharpening the organization’s strategic focus, deepening partnerships across industry and government, and reinforcing GTI Energy’s role as a trusted leader in energy innovation. She helped build an innovative ecosystem that leverages technical expertise and partnerships to improve the performance of energy systems.

Quinton Ford has been a key member of GTI Energy’s executive team for two decades. In his most recent role, he provided leadership across businesses and operations, legal matters, and strategic initiatives. Previously, he oversaw GTI Energy’s technology portfolio, leading teams responsible for advancing solutions from concept to commercial deployment. He has served as an officer for the past eight years and on the boards of various GTI Energy subsidiaries. His experience provides a strong foundation for leading GTI Energy.
