Galileo Global Link – Scada System: Advanced technology real-time monitoring system reaches milestone

Galileo Technologies, a company that promotes carbon footprint reduction in more than 70 countries, celebrates a new anniversary of its “Galileo Global Link – Scada System”: a real-time monitoring system. It processes information to monitor date from operations around the globe, and is operated by specialized technicians providing remote assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Since its launch, the system includes several hundred monitored devices on the full range of the Galileo product offering. With its base of operations in Argentina, Galileo Technologies has a full team of technicians, staffed around the clock to provide monitoring, statistical predicative data and operational assistance to its customers. The company is continuously upgrading and improving the innovative technology to keep pace with the current state of the art in SCADA reporting.

“Currently, the Galileo Global Link Scada System has become a key resource for tracking data and information to help maintain the efficiency of our equipment. The consistent real time calculation and analysis of performance indicators allow for qualitative conclusions to be drawn to provide for continuos optimization,” explained Pablo Cortez, Head of the Global Link Control Room at Galileo Technologies.

He added: “Thanks to our proprietary remote monitoring software; equiment around the world is being constantly monitored for improved and reliable operations”.

Principal functions:

  • Direct interaction with devices (sensors, valves, motors and HMI interface) *HMI is the interface between the processing machine and the operator.
  • Sequential recording of events, Data gathering in the production process.
  • Alert panels on each of the equipment onboard system computers.
  • Quality control by analzing the sequential data.
  • Production monitoring.
  • Generation of reliablilty and operational reports.
  • Predictive and preventive maintenance parameters.
  • Access from multiple devices, such as computers, tablets and Smart phones.
