September 12, 2021. Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance (CNGVA) Executive Director, Bruce Winchester, released the September report on the activities and expectations of the organization.
According to Winchester, while last year’s “Third Annual Natural Gas Dialogues” event was postponed and eventually was presented as a virtual event, this year’s edition will be held in-person on September 29th 2021 in Calgary Alberta. The agenda is focused on innovation and pathways to a net zero emissions future. Lots of CNGVA member companies will be presenting on a variety of projects and initiatives.
As innovation will be a of focus of this event details of the upcoming International Gas Research Conference 2024 event will also be announced. The Canadian Gas Association secured Canadian hosting of this International Gas Union global event – which will be held in Banff Alberta in May 2024. Given all the developments in Canadian natural gas innovations – including the work of the Natural Gas Innovation Fund – this is a pivotal time to host this event. More details on the CGA plan for the Banff conference will be provided at the Natural Gas Dialogues on September 29th.
Furthermore, it has been a couple years since this live ExpoCam 2021 event occurred – back for 2021 – this is the premier trade show and conference focused on Canada’s trucking industry. The event will be held on September 22nd and 23rd in St. Hyacinthe Quebec.
Energir’s demonstrator natural gas powered class-8 tuck will be on display at ExpoCam. Following the ExpoCam event, Energir’s truck will be available for fleets to try.
Finally, the Canadian Transportation Alliance is sponsoring a series of webinars on the future of low emissions and zero emissions transportation. An earlier event featured a look at options for light duty vehicles – including a discussion of biofuels, battery electric and hydrogen passenger vehicle options. A second session dealing with medium and heavy duty transportation options will be held on September 20th at 1:00 PM (ET).
