February 27, 2026. RNG Coalition welcomed PwC, a global giant in the professional services industry, to its membership alongside surging interest in renewable natural gas (RNG) in North America.
“PwC’s premium expertise in accounting and tax services will strengthen RNG Coalition’s membership as we navigate related changes in existing federal policy and expand demand for RNG into new sectors and territories worldwide,” Johannes Escudero, Founder and CEO of RNG Coalition, said.
Jennifer Bernardini, PwC’s Managing Director of Federal Tax Services, has in 2026 agreed to serve as a Senior Advisor for the tax committee of RNG Coalition’s Advocacy advisory board, bringing decades of public- and private-sector experience in federal tax policy to RNG Coalition’s expanding federal tax focus.
Alongside PwC as a new RNG Coalition member is Japanese trading firm Sojitz, a Tokyo-based solutions provider for numerous sectors including automotive, transportation, energy, and metals. Sojitz’s addition comes amid renewed focus on demand expansion for RNG and biomethane in North America and abroad, with Japan offering a rapidly growing end market for RNG.
Also joining RNG Coalition in the first quarter of 2026 are NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, a Michigan-based automotive parts supplier with roots in Japan, and Biogas Works for America, a like-minded trade group focusing on US federal biofuel programs.
These groups join RNG Coalition amid historic growth in RNG. The North American RNG industry achieved historic growth in 2025, with 130 new operational facilities added to the North American RNG portfolio. This marks a second consecutive annual record-high for facility growth, after a then-record 114 facilities were added in 2024.
