Cenergy Solutions hosts government officials at Thai biogas ANG station open house

Cenergy Solutions, a US-based corporation, held a successful open house showing Government Leaders, a Local TV station and the community how their ANG filling station could utilize and distribute biogas that has been vented from a pig farm for over 30 years. The first phase of this project will supply 180 village homes with biogas for cooking. The second phase will increase the number of homes being supplied with biogas to over 500 homes. Planning is under way to pipe additional biogas to this filling station from other local pig farms so that it can be distributed for cooking, boilers, generators and vehicle use.

Over 60 people attended the event that commenced with a blessing by five monks. The delicious Thai lunch, which included a whole pig, was all cooked with biogas stored in Cenergy’s ANG tanks. The Mayor, Mr. Chatree Kittitanadit, said that his community needed Cenergy’s ANG technology to reduce the air pollution from burning wood and fossil fuels. Additionally he said there were other pig farms and other biogas opportunities in his area that could use Cenergy’s ability to clean, store and distribute biogas. He said that he was invited to an energy conference that was taking place at the same time, but he felt that Cenergy’s open house that was demonstrating biogas usage was more important. The Energy Department Representatives were impressed with the whole system and how it is safer than using LPG.
