Adsorbed Natural Gas Products showed its PHANGV technology

Adsorbed Natural Gas Products, Inc. (ANGP) showed its PHANGV® (plug-in hybrid adsorbed natural gas vehicle) technology at the Energy Exchange Summit in Cleveland, OH from August 20th through August 23rd. ANGP’s bi-fuel 2018 Ford F150 achieves a range of 80 miles on low-pressure adsorbed natural gas (ANG) technology at 25% of CNG pressures before seamlessly switching to gasoline.

In June, ANGP received the Innovation Award for Transportation Driven by Gas at the World Gas Conference in Washington, D.C. “We are extremely humbled to be recognized by the global natural gas community for our low-pressure technology that is geared to economically reducing greenhouse gas emissions from larger frame light duty vehicles, such as large SUVs, pick-up trucks and vans,” said Bob Bonelli, President and CEO of ANGP, on receiving the award.  He added, “Low-pressure operation is the key to economic and highly reliable private fueling, which enables the use of clean burning natural gas on these large platform light duty vehicles that is far superior to electrification in cost, weight and range.”

ANGP’s low-pressure adsorbed natural gas technology has been advanced in partnership with Ingevity Corporation’s Nuchar® FuelSorb™ carbon monoliths.
