Waste Management unveils new CNG station in Colorado

May 1, 2019. Waste Management (WM) unveiled this week a new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station for their growing fleet of natural gas-powered trucks in El Paso County.

The station is installed at WM’s location on Chambers Street off North Nevada Avenue.

”It’s great for our employees to be in these new trucks, great for the environment, the community, and great for El Paso County,” said District Manager, David Bernal.

Waste Mangement operates now 26 natural gas-powered trucks in Colorado Springs. With this new CNG fueling station, the company estimates saving $208,000 a year on fuel. These savings, according to WM, will be pass onto customers.
